“Do Something”

chesapeak air purifierjpg” align=”left”/>Alternative energy. Anyone can say it, but progress is getting lost somewhere between far-off solutions and the ones our country can’t afford. Let’s do something. Let’s champion the one clean alternative that is ready today — American natural gas. It’s twice as clean as coal, so we can make progress using cleaner power to cut CO2 emissions in half. Natural gas can also fuel our vehicles more affordably while reducing pollution. Chesapeake Energy champions natural gas because it ushers in a world of energy where healthier air means more American jobs and a stronger economy. We can count on natural gas for the next 100 years. So let’s do something. Let’s put an alternative energy to work — clean, affordable, abundant, American natural gas.

“Enough”

-

chesapeak air purifierWe didn’t just wake up with this problem. Barrel by barrel, dollar by dollar, we’ve been exchanging American security for foreign oil. Now, as a nation, we find ourselves relying on resources from places where people salute any flag, but ours.

Enough.

Today, we take back our energy future and turn our focus to new solutions. We’re standing on top of the world’s largest supplies of natural gas. And now…we know their full potential. Fuel. Power. Cleaner air. American natural gas gives us the confidence to once again say, “we’ll take it from here.” One hundred years worth of natural gas under American soil puts us in control of our own destiny. See how natural gas is making a difference at www.chk.com.

My pet blue crab

-

chesapeak air purifierJust a little video of my pet crab and the tank i have set up for him. He is an Atlantic blue crab (callinectus sapidus). I use a Fluval U3 underwater filter for filtration, as well as two 18 inch bubblestones for air. I keep him in a 29 gallon aquarium with treated tap water at about 30% salinity and add liquid calcium regularly for a healthy shell and plenty of calcium to absorb when he’s ready to molt. I feed him a combination of things, random pieces of locally caught fish and oysters, freeze dried krill, and algae tablets. He loves them all, though he goes crazy for the fresh stuff. I’ve had him 2 months and he’s already successfully molted once. The hood I have on my tank is a MarineLand 20 gallon LED hood. It uses a combination of white LED lights, and UV LED’s to simulate sunlight, and also has a moonlight setting for when it’s bedtime. All in all I am very pleased with my little guy. His name is buster.

My pet blue crab, eating

-

chesapeak air purifiertp://i.ytimg.com/vi/SLQkTR4IMuU/0.jpg” align=”left”/>Here is my Maryland Blue Crab (callinectus sapidus) eating some fresh spot. isnt he cute? He is currently in a 10g tank. to save the painstaking ordeal of mathcing the PH and salinity to the brackish baywater i caught him from, i simply took 10 gallons of baywater with me. feel sorry for my poor filter. the tank has an air pump and a water filter to ensure good oxidation of the water. He has very defined blue pigmentation, shows no real signs of being unhealthy, and is overall a beautiful crab. he measures at 6 and 1/8″. at 7.5+” i will move him to a 55 gallon tank.
